Help offset Hawken School's paper usage by requesting a tree to be planted in your yard

Our Goals

Tree-Duce, Tree-Use, Tree-Cycle

On April 11th, we invite you to join us at Hawken School to plant 200 trees, which will offset Hawken School’s paper usage within the 2018-2019 school year. In order to reach our goal, we are relying on volunteers like you to work with us towards a more sustainable future. To contribute, you can request a tree (or trees!) of your choice to be planted in your yard for $5 each. Together, we can replenish over two million sheets of paper and demonstrate support for the future of our environment.

Want a Tree?

Help us reach our goal of planting 200 trees by opting to receive a tree in your yard! Choose the type of tree you want and volunteers will come to your yard on April 11th to plant them. Trees are $5 and will come as saplings (18-24 inches).

Heather Arslanian

My name is Heather Arslanian, and I am a senior at Hawken School. I am looking forward to hosting this event as it will improve the environment and increase the biodiversity at Hawken. I view climate change as a major issue; therefore, small events such as planting trees can raise awareness and set an example for others. More people need to combat the ongoing issue through helping the environment even in the smallest ways. I hope that you will join me on April 11th and reach our goal of planting two hundred trees. Let’s come together and use our power to make a positive impact on the community. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in volunteering or have any questions.

Lauren Drozdowski

My name is Lauren Drozdowski, and I am a senior at Hawken School. Heather and I were inspired to host this event after learning about deforestation and climate change in our Biology class. Big change starts with individual action, and we hope to inspire eco-friendly change starting with our own small bubble. We encourage you all to join us on April 11th to make a meaningful impact in our community and help us move towards a greener future. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about our event, please feel free to contact me at the information below.
