Help offset Portsmouth High School's paper usage by requesting a tree to be planted in your yard
Our Goals

We are the Portsmouth School Green Club and together we are partnering with Tree-Plenish in order to offset the amount of paper that is used on average by the school each year. Over the past three years our school has used an average of 200 trees to supply our paper demands. In order to better our community, the PHS Green Club has created our goal to replant 200 trees around the community. This event allows anyone in the community to purchase a tree and request where they would like to have it planted. The trees we have chosen to plant include Red Maples, White Dogwoods, and Eastern White Pines. Additionally to requesting trees, we are also looking for volunteers to take part in the mass planting that will occur in April.

Help us reach our goal of planting 200 trees by opting to receive a tree in your yard! Choose the type of tree you want and volunteers will come to your yard on April 24th to plant them. Trees are $5 and will come as saplings (18-24 inches).

Hi! My name is Keira Rogers and I am a junior at Portsmouth High School. I am the secretary of the Portsmouth High Green club and have been part of the club since my freshman year. This club has been a great part of my high school career, and I love how as a club we work to better our community. At PHS I am also a part of the ski and snowboard club, on the varsity soccer team, and on the basketball team. I love spending time outside, hiking, skiing, and camping with my friends and family.
My name is Ella West and I am a senior at Portsmouth High School. I have been a part of the Green club since my freshman year, this has been such a great and eye opening experience. I am also a part of the community service club, National art honors society, and National honors society, all of these clubs do very similar work with the goal in mind of making an impact on our school and community. In addition to these clubs I am on the tennis team and lacrosse team. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, boating, and baking in my free time.
My name is Olivia DaSilva, and I am a junior at Portsmouth High School. I joined Green Club sophomore year, and am now the treasurer. I am also a part of the community service club and language honors society. All of these clubs allow me to help out and give back to my community, whether it be environment-related or tutoring other students who need help. In my spare time I enjoy running and exercising, as well as spending time with my family and close friends. In the future I plan to work in the social-science field, potentially as a psychologist or anthropologist, so doing well in school is very important to me.
